About this event
Inspired by the life and work of Dositej Obradović, this monodrama explores the legacy of the Serbian educator, writer and philosopher through a museum-theatre format.
The performance takes place inside the authentic setting of the former Velika škola, making the venue itself part of the stage experience. Actor Vladimir Cvejić appears as Dositej and leads the audience through a period of major historical and cultural change, from the thinker’s journeys and encounters across Europe to the dawn of the modern Serbian state.
In its sixth season, “Dosije Dositej” also features a digital map of Dositej’s travels across Europe. The performance will be held on Sunday, 15 November, at 12:00 at the Museum of Vuk and Dositej. Tickets cost 600 dinars and are available at the Museum box office, via Tickets.rs, and in all delfi.rs bookstores. Ticket reservations can be made by email at vukidositej@narodnimuzej.rs.
