About this event
Calibro 35, an Italian instrumental group, are coming back to Belgrade with a new live concept inspired by Los Angeles and classic crime storytelling.
Their program, titled “Calibro 35 vs L.A.”, draws on music connected with their latest soundtrack work for a documentary about writer James Ellroy. The first part of the concert focuses on the dark creative link between Ellroy and Los Angeles, while the second part turns to tracks that audiences in Belgrade already know from the band’s earlier performances.
Formed from a studio collaboration in 2007, the band developed its sound from references to Italian crime cinema of the 1960s and 1970s into a mix of funk, jazz and progressive rock.
