Held each year in September, Dani Ludaje Kikinda brings pumpkin-themed festivities to the town square in Kikinda. The central competitions focus on measuring the longest and heaviest pumpkin.
Saturday is presented as the main day for the competition pumpkins and guest programs. Through Banatski fruštuk and the European Corner, the event showcases ethnic and tourism content from northern Banat, including Serbian and Hungarian traditions, along with presentations by guests from other countries. Traditional food also has an important place in the program.
For children from primary schools, the program includes Igre i igrarije sa ludajom, with relay running while carrying a pumpkin, fast seed-eating contests, and pumpkin pie-eating contests. Later in the day, an expert jury measures the entries in the main pumpkin competition.
