About this event
Boney M, with original singer Maizie Williams, is scheduled to appear on 14 August 2026 at 21:00 at Tvrđava in Niš במסגרת Nišville.
The group was formed in West Germany in 1974 by producer Frank Farian. Its early lineup brought together performers from Montserrat, Jamaica and Aruba, combining disco and funk with reggae and soul influences. During their commercial peak, Boney M sold more than 100 million records, with songs such as "Rasputin", "Rivers of Babylon" and "Daddy Cool" remaining widely known.
This appearance comes in the year marking 50 years since the release of the band's first album. On that occasion, Maizie Williams is also set to receive the festival's "Šaban Bajramović" Grand Prix, a recognition that also serves as a posthumous tribute to Frank Farian for his fusion of jazz and disco.
