About this event

Presented by Galerija Matice srpske, this exhibition commemorates three centuries since the establishment of the Metropolitanate of Karlovci and two centuries since the founding of Matica srpska. The display traces the development of Serbian church art over two hundred years through iconostases, wall paintings, portraits and prints, with selected works from major museums and eparchies in Serbia, the region and Europe. Visitors can also explore multimedia सामग्री, a short documentary film and a family guide for younger audiences. Public programmes are held on Fridays, with curator-led tours on weekends, and the exhibition remains open until 27 September 2026.
