About this event
Belmužijada, the 15th edition of this economic, tourism and cultural event, will be held at Sports Centre “Pastirište” in Svrljig. The organizer is “Centar za turizam, kulturu i sport”.
The programme presents the traditions of the Svrljig area through customs, folk costume, music, traditional and folk instruments, and local dishes and specialties, while also highlighting the area’s economic potential and natural surroundings.
During the event, visitors can also attend the 5th furniture and textile fair of southeast Serbia, staged on the handball court within the “Pastirište” complex. Belmužijada also includes the 14th “Sabor gajdaša balkanskih zemalja”, an international gathering of bagpipe players held on the first day, with participants from across Serbia as well as from Greece and Macedonia.
Other announced activities include a belmuž cooking competition, shepherd multi-discipline contests, preparation of traditional dishes, selection of the most beautiful shepherdess and shepherd, and exhibition-sales stalls on the central grounds.
