The Necks return to Belgrade with a live set built on long-form improvisation. The Australian trio—Chris Abrahams, Lloyd Swanton and Tony Buck—creates music in real time using piano, double bass and drums, gradually developing a single idea across an extended performance.
Formed in 1987, the group has built a distinctive body of work across more than 20 albums. Their music is often associated with jazz, ambient, minimalism and free-form experimentation, but each concert takes its own shape.
This will be the band’s fifth performance in Belgrade. At Teatar 78, the setting offers a close-up listening experience well suited to their subtle, evolving approach.
