Plan my Serbia route

About us

We’re locals who love Serbia — and we built this guide to share that love.

Serbian Travel is made by people who know the country first-hand: the cities, the mountains, the food, the stories, and the everyday warmth that makes Serbia special. Our goal is simple — help travelers experience Serbia with confidence, curiosity, and respect.

In one sentence

Serbian Travel is a local-first travel guide created to show why Serbia is worth discovering — through practical advice, honest recommendations, and a genuine appreciation for the people and places that make it unique.

Why we created Serbian Travel

We started Serbian Travel because we kept hearing the same thing from visitors: ‘Serbia surprised us.’ That surprised us too — in a good way. We’ve always known this country has more to offer than a quick stopover, and we wanted a place that reflects that honestly.

Our aim is to help travelers move beyond checklists and experience Serbia the way locals do: with time for a café, a market, a fortress view, a mountain road, a family-run restaurant, and a conversation that lingers longer than expected.

We believe the best travel guides should be useful first, inspiring second, and respectful always.

About Serbian Travel | Locals Sharing Serbia with the World

How we work

We visit first, then write

Whenever possible, we check places ourselves and update guides based on what’s actually there now — not outdated listings.

We keep it useful

Expect transportation notes, timing tips, where to base yourself, and what to prioritize if you only have a few days.

Where our stories come from

We write across Serbia — from Belgrade and Novi Sad to the mountains, spa towns, and historic sites that deserve more attention.

No. We cover major cities and also regions, nature spots, spa towns, and day trips that help you see a fuller picture of the country.
